Make Disciples
We follow Jesus' command in Matthew 28:18-20 to make disciples of all nations. We do this through the power of the Holy Spirit by verbally sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world and inviting them to repent of their sins, believe in Jesus as Savior, and confess Jesus as Lord.
The Problem: our sin
The Bible says: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," (Romans 3:23) and "The wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23)
the solution: jesus christ
The Bible also says: "...but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23) and "...Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures," (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
the invitation: free gift
In order to receive the free gift of salvation, the Bible says to repent, believe, and confess Jesus as Lord: "...if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." (Romans 10:9-10)
Baptism
We follow Jesus' command in Matthew 28:18-20 to baptize new believers in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
The Bible says: "We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life." (Romans 6: 4) and "...having been buried with Jesus in baptism, in which you were also raised with Him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised Him from the dead." (Colossians 2:12)
Teach to Obey
We follow Jesus' command in Matthew 28:18-20 to teach believers to obey all that Jesus has commanded us.
